The findings of this research underscore the important role instructors, student supports, and institutional policies play in creating a supportive learning environment for students living with anxiety and mood disorders.

Suicidality in Rural and Remote Communities: A Scoping Review
This scoping review revealed a lack of research on the topic of suicide in rural Canada. This is concerning as the suicide rate has been found to be higher in rural and remote communities. The findings of this scoping review will inform future research on this topic.
Social Participation Study - Research Summary
This “Social Participation” study was conducted by researchers from the University of Manitoba and Brandon University and ran from May 18 - June 29, 2020. The purpose of this study was to ask individuals aged 55+ about: (a) their social well-being and the kinds of social programs they prefer (pre and during Covid-19); (b) how they get access to information about social programs (pre and during Covid- 19); and (c) their opinions on promotion brochures designed to increase social participation. The survey was delivered online using SurveyMonkey and three focus groups were conducted using Zoom.
